Dance That Grows With Them
Youth Dance Classes
At Spirix, it’s not about being perfect—it’s about showing up, moving with meaning, and growing into who you are. Spirix builds on 10+ years of bold, community-led dance in Leigh and Wigan. Our crew of pro teachers are fully qualified, fully trained, DBS checked, and all about creating a safe space for young people to move, express and thrive.
Contemporary Dance
Dance Styles
Expressive movement that combines technique with emotional storytelling. Students explore floor work, release technique, and improvisation whilst developing strength, flexibility, and artistic expression.
Commercial Dance
Dance Styles
High-energy choreography inspired by music videos, pop concerts, and commercial performance. This style builds confidence, rhythm, and performance skills through current music and dynamic movement.
Jazz Dance
Dance Styles
Classic theatre dance combining technique with personality and flair. Students learn sharp isolations, kicks, leaps, and turns whilst developing musicality and stage presence.
Musical Theatre
Dance Styles
The perfect blend of dance, drama, and storytelling. Students work on character development, narrative through movement, and the theatrical skills needed for stage performance.

Programmes For Age Groups
From little movers to future leaders, our programmes grow with them. Each one’s shaped for a specific age group, so wherever you’re at, there’s a Spirix class for every young dancer.
Preschool
Our toddler classes spark movement through play, music and props—building rhythm, coordination, and confidence in a fun, supportive space. It’s all about exploring, expressing and moving together.
Ages 2 - 4
Minis
Little ones explore movement through stories, props and playful routines. We build core skills like skipping, marching and galloping, while gently introducing jazz and contemporary through games, themes and creative play.
Ages 5 - 7 (Key Stage 1)
Juniors
From floor work to fierce routines — students train in contemporary, commercial, jazz and musical theatre. We focus on technique, memory, performance skills and confidence, while keeping creativity front and centre.
Ages 8 - 11 (Key Stage 2)
Seniors
Level up with advanced technique in contemporary, commercial, jazz and musical theatre. These classes tackle complex choreography, grow artistry, and help teens find a path in dance. New to it all? We run beginner classes too.
Ages 12 - 15 (Key Stage 3 & 4)
Young Leaders
Our industry-focused programme is all about stepping up. Young leaders will train at a high level, work towards qualifications, and take on real responsibility—leading warm-ups, supporting younger groups, or shaping choreography. Alongside expert mentorship and hands-on experience, they will start building a professional portfolio and getting paid for what they love.
Ages 15 - 21 (Key Stage 4)

Spirix Pro
Spirix Pro is a progression route for talented young dancers (YP) to be supported by and perform alongside established professional artists. Formerly known as WN Dance, we’ve evolved into a bold platform for growth, nurturing the next generation of performers, teachers, and changemakers.
The Spirix Curriculum: Launching September 2025
We're excited to introduce the Spirix Curriculum, our innovative approach to tracking dance development without the additional costs associated with traditional dance school exam syllabuses. All children will work towards annual in-house assessments, receiving badges and awards that celebrate their individual achievements and progression.
The Curriculum Allows Us To
Track each dancer’s personal journey and growth
Celebrate achievements at every level
Provide clear progression pathways
Offer meaningful recognition without external exam fees
Focus on holistic development rather than rigid testing
Every dancer receives personalised feedback and recognition for their commitment, creativity, technical development, and contribution to our dance community.
