Spirix Classes: Age Groups
From first movements and early expressions to future leaders creating original work, our classes develop children & young people throughout the entire dance ecosystem.
Preschool
Our preschool dance classes ignite movement through play, music, and rhythm. We offer a safe space to nurture your toddler’s first coordinations and explorations, with our early years sessions focusing on expressing and moving in a supportive, confidence-building environment.
From ages 2-4
Minis
At this age of development, we encourage playfulness by introducing props, fun routines, and group activity. We also use the Minis classes to build foundational skills, such as skipping and marching. Elements of jazz and contemporary are also introduced through engaging creative play.
Ages 5 - 7 (Key Stage 1)
Juniors
Our juniors step up to strengthen floor work, as well as fine tune lifelong skills across contemporary, commercial, jazz and musical theatre. With an emphasis on technique, memory, and confidence, we set our juniors up for a future of creative and physical expression.
Ages 8 - 11 (Key Stage 2)
Seniors
Our senior dance classes take technique to the next level with advanced, complex choreography, refined artistic development, and self-led expression. We provide professional expertise and support to help teens carve their path in dance. Contemporary, commercial, jazz, street, and more are covered, and we also cater to beginners.
Ages 12 - 15 (Key Stage 3 & 4)
Young Leaders
Becoming a young leader is stepping up, whether it’s mentoring younger groups, leading warm-ups, or choreographing original pieces. You’ll be supported by our professional staff, who’ll pass on their industry experience to you. You’ll also gain qualifications and take on responsibility within Spirix to kick start your professional dance career.
Ages 15 - 21 (Key Stage 4)
Our Accessibility Promise - Dance Classes For All
All-In Fees
Pay per class or choose an unlimited class pass. No additional fees for assessments and exams, no expensive uniforms required. Free performance opportunities throughout the year for all young people, because we believe every dancer deserves equal opportunities.
Financial Support Available
Scholarships, bursaries, and free classes are available for young people who face financial barriers. We’re committed to ensuring that talent and passion, not financial circumstances, determine access to quality dance education.
Truly Inclusive
It’s important to us to meet the needs of all young people. We offer SEND-specific sessions tailored to individual requirements and welcome beginners at any age. Every young person deserves to experience the joy of dance, regardless of their starting point or additional needs.
The Spirix Curriculum: Launching September 2026
We're excited to introduce the Spirix Curriculum, our innovative approach to tracking dance development without the additional costs associated with traditional dance school exam syllabuses. All children and young people will work towards annual in-house assessments, receiving badges and awards that celebrate their individual achievements and progression.
The Curriculum Allows Us To
Track each dancer’s personal journey and growth
Celebrate achievements at every level
Provide clear progression pathways
Offer meaningful recognition without external exam fees
Focus on holistic development rather than rigid testing
Every dancer receives personalised feedback and recognition for their commitment, creativity, technical development, and contribution to our dance community.
