Current Projects
Looking Up in Leigh is about shifting how young people are seen, heard and valued in our town. It is a forward thinking, long-term, youth-led movement using creativity to spark conversation, build connections, and reimagine Leigh’s future.
Led by Spirix’s youth board and supported by artists, youth workers, and community leaders, this project has brought together hundreds of young people to share their views, shape decisions, and design positive change locally from the ground up.
Looking Up in Leigh is not just about creative young people being heard - it’s about giving them platform to shape the future, their way.
What Looking Up In Leigh Involves:
Ongoing youth consultation and research
Creative workshops in schools and local community settings
Public exhibitions, installations, and storytelling
Advocacy through film, performance, and visual art
A bold youth steering group with the ability to influence change
