4 early career Contemporary Dancers Wanted for Spirix Projects

Train with pros, perform in front of thousands, and make your mark in the borough’s biggest dance moments.

If you love contemporary dance, get energised by performing for an audience, and want to be part of something that brings people together, this is your moment.

Spirix Creatives is looking for four dancers aged 16–21 from Wigan Borough to join us for three bold, exciting and community-driven performance projects.

You’ll train with professional dancers, work alongside guest choreographers, and perform at events that light up the borough — all while making your mark as part of the Spirix family.

The Projects You’ll Be Part Of

  • The Forge Cultural Strategy Launch Event – celebrating the borough’s creative future

  • Light Up Leigh – a community festival that transforms the streets

  • Spirix Retold – DUY x Spirix Collaboration Project – an exciting new collaboration performance with Dance United Yorkshire, officially launching Spirix Collective

Project Dates

All rehearsals and performances will take place in Wigan. You must be available for all of the following dates:

  • Wed 27 Aug , 10am - 5pm

  • Thurs 28 Aug, 10am - 5pm

  • Sun 14 Sep, 10am - 5pm

  • Thurs 18 Sep, 5pm - 8pm

  • Sun 21 Sept, 10am–5pm

  • Sat 4 Oct, 10am–5pm

  • Sun 19 Oct, 10am–5pm

  • Mon 27 Oct, 10am–5pm

  • Sun 9 Nov, 10am–5pm

  • Wed 12 Nov, 6pm–9pm

  • Sat 15 Nov, All day

  • Sun 23 Nov, 10am–5pm

  • Sat 6 Dec, 10am–5pm

  • Sun 7 Dec, All day
